Easiest Way To Make Chicken Curry At Home

  • Ingredients –


  • Chicken: -   750 grms

  • Onion: -  2 medium size (roughly chopped)

  • Garlic: -   8 cloves

  • Ginger: -  1 inch

  • Tomato: -  2 medium sizes (roughly chopped)

  • Cashew Nuts: -  12

  • Bay leaf: -   1

  • Cumin seeds: -  1tsp

  • Garam masala powder: - 1/2tsp. (One small cinnamon stick, cloves &amp, cardamom)

  • Turmeric powder:-  3tsp

  • Kashmiri Red chili powder: -  1tsp

  • Cumin powder: - 1tsp

  • Coriander powder: -  2tsp

  • Curd: - 1/2cup (beaten)

  • Salt: -  As needed

  • Ghee or sunflower oil: - 2tsp


Preparation Method For Indian Chicken Curry Recipe


  • Wash and clean the chicken pieces. Take all chickens in a bowl. Mix turmeric powder, chili powder, salt, and curd, and marinate for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Now heat 1tsp of oil in a pan on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, green cardamom and sauté for few seconds.
  • Then add the onions, garlic, ginger and sauté for 2to 3minutes. Add the tomatoes and cashews and mix. Cover the pan and cook at medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, remove the pan from heat. Let the mixture cool down a bit and then transfer to the blender. Grind the masala to a smooth paste and set aside.
  • Now add rest of the oil in a pan, when it becomes hot slowly add the onion-spice paste. Saute and stir on medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  • Fry, adding a little water, until the oil floats on top. Then add the red chili powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Mix well and sauté on medium to low heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Now add the marinated chicken and fry & stir it on high heat for 5 minutes.
  • Cover the lid and cook on low to medium heat for 15minutes. keep stirring occasionally till chicken is cooked.
  • Remove lid add warm water and salt. Mix it and cover it and cook on low heat.
  • Now remove the lid and add garam masala and cook for another 10 to 12 minutes. The awesome dish of chicken curry is ready. Serve hot with Naan or Plain roti or any rice.
