  •    Ingredients

  • Prawn: -  500grm medium-sized prawns (cut and clean)


  • Yogurt: -   1cup (beaten)


  • Onion: -   2 (finely chopped)


  • Green chilies:-  1to 2 slit


  • Garlic Paste: -  6/7 flakes


  • Turmeric powder: -  2tsp


  • Kashmiri Red chili powder: -  1tsp


  • Sugar: -    1tsp


  • Salt: -  As per taste


  • Mustard Oil: -   4 tbsp

Prawn Curry Recipe Preparation Method:


  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the prawns until it will golden. Remove the prawns and keep aside.

  • Heat the remaining oil in a pan and fry onions till golden brown. Lower the heat and add garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt, few green-chilies, Kashmiri Red chili powder.

  • Fry, adding a little water, until the oils float on top. Then add beaten curd. Continue to fry the mixture.

  • After the masala is cooked, add the prawns, one cup of water and give a quick mix.

  • Cover the lid and cook on low to medium heat for 15 minutes. If required, add a little water.

  • Open the lid and add sugar, mix and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  • Add garam masala powder, mix and stir and your Prawn curry will be ready.  Serve hot with rice.
