Ingredients to Prepare Mutton Korma:-



  • 1kg mutton (cut into small pieces)
  • 4 onions (sliced finely)
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 3tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1tbsp coriander powder
  • 1tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 to 4 cloves
  • 2inch cinnamon
  • 4 green cardamoms
  • 1/2 tsp pepper corn
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 1tbsp kewra water
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1strand mace

Mutton Korma Preparation Method:-



  • Wash the mutton well and drain the water.


  • Add oil/ghee in a heavy bottom vessel after it becomes hot add onion. Fry them until deep golden. This may take about 10 to 12 mints.


  • Take out the fried onions and after they have cooled down a bit, then transfer to a blender. Grind the onions to a smooth paste and set aside.


  • Take another bowl, then adds yogurt, turmeric, coriander, red chilli powder, and mixed it well. Keep it aside.


  • Now heat oil and ghee together in a pressure cooker.  Once the oil is hot, add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom and saute for a few seconds.


  • Then add mutton pieces and fry on high heat for 10 minutes.


  • Now add ginger-garlic paste and fry this for at least 3 to 4 minutes.


  • Add yogurt and masala paste and salt. Fry and stir it on medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes.


  • Then cover it with the lid and stirring occasionally till the mutton is cooked and it will take time near about 30 minutes.


  • After 30 minutes add onion paste, add warm water. Mix it and keep the cooker on medium flame, when 2 to 3 whistle come turn off the flame.


  • After 5minutes remove the cooker from heat and let the pressure release add mace, nutmeg, and kewra water and mix well.
