After some successful release of Hindi movies it’s time for Bengali
movies to be shown on OTT platform. Hoichoi has already given us some great
piece of content with webseries like “Tansener Tanpura” and “Breakup Story”. We
can watch the upcoming Bengali movie “Detective” directly on Hoichoi. As announced
through social media On August 4, 2020 “Detective” will be the first Bengali movie
to be released directly on OTT platform. The movie is directed by Joydeep
Mukherjee and produced by SVF Entertainment.
“Detective” movie is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s story.
So, the essence of Bengali literature makes people more interested about this
film. After the announcement response came from social media for this movie was
huge.
The versatile actor Anirban Bhattacharya plays the lead role
of Mahimchandra in this movie. He made
a place in the audience’s heart with his outstanding performances in earlier
movies. The film will release on 14th August 2020. Mahimchandra always
keeps searching for some interesting cases that will enrich his brain. The
story revolves around whether he finally gets any such case and how he solves
that particular case.
Mahimchandra’s wife is Shudhamukhi who instinctively possesses
doubt about almost everything. Gorgeous Bengali actress Ishaa Saha who has
tasted some success from “Sweater” movie and “Mafia” webseries, is playing the
role of Shudhamukhi. Hope she will deliver another great performance here also.
We have seen another popular face of Tollywood, Ambarish
Bhattacharya, who will be playing Mahimchandra’s assistant’s role. Ambarish
Bhattacharya is well known for his acting in movies like Kabir (2018), Cockpit
(2017) and Open Tee Bioscope (2015).
Saheb Bhattacharya has played the character of Monmoth. We
can guess from the trailer that his character is completely different than
whatever role he has done earlier in his career. Bengali actress Trina Saha who
is known for her works in Khokababu (2016), Password (2019) and Kamini (2019)
movies, is also playing an important character in “Detective” movie.
We are eagerly waiting to watch the first day first show of “Detective”
movie sitting at home on Hoichoi.
